Francis Runner Manufacturing Procedure
Typically, we are provided with a 3D model of the runner that will be manufactured. We generate sectional drawings for the pattern maker, who in turn creates a layout containing information on material shrinkage allowances and machining allowances to be applied, which will subsequently undergo mechanical processing. From this point, the 3D modeling phase begins, during which we apply to the model all the information provided by the pattern maker. After a series of checks, the pattern equipment is then manufactured in order to obtain the turbine casting.
